Author Guidelines for Book Chapters

 

1. General Information

Authors submitting book chapters to OpenCognovate should adhere to the following guidelines to ensure consistency, clarity, and academic rigor. All submissions will undergo a peer review process before acceptance.

2. Authors and Affiliations
  • Authors: Full names of all contributing authors must be provided.
  • Affiliations: Include the institution, department, city, and country for each author.
  • Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate the corresponding author along with their email address.

3. Chapter Structure and Formatting

Each chapter should be structured as follows:

3.1 Title Page
  • Title of the chapter (Concise and Reflective of Content)
  • List of Authors and Affiliations
  • Corresponding Author Contact Details
3.2 Abstract (150-250 words)

A brief summary of the chapter, including the research problem, methodology (if applicable), and key findings.

3.3 Keywords (4-6 words)

Provide keywords that represent the main topics of the chapter.

3.4 Introduction
  • Background of the topic
  • Research significance or practical relevance
  • Overview of chapter structure
3.5 Main Body

The main body should be logically structured using headings and subheadings. Some common sections include:
  • Literature Review (If applicable)
  • Methodology (For empirical or experimental chapters)
  • Findings and Discussion (For research-based chapters)
  • Case Studies or Practical Examples (If applicable)
3.6 Conclusion and Future Perspectives
  • Summary of key points

3.7 References (APA 7th Edition)

All sources must be cited using APA 7th edition style.

  • Minimum: 4,000 words
  • Maximum: 8,000 words
  • Page Limit: 10–15 pages (including references, tables, and figures)
5. Submission Format
  • File Type: Microsoft Word (.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Alignment: Justified
6. Plagiarism and Ethics
  • All submissions must be original and not published elsewhere.
